Magnolia

Medicinal magnolia, a species found in the mountains and valleys of China, contains two potent anti-inflammatory substances in its bark: manolol and honokiol. These substances work synergistically to inhibit the activation of NF-KB, a key mediator in both inflammatory processes and aging. Magnolia has a robust antioxidant effect that can shield the skin from chronic inflammation, neutralize internal aging factors and reduce redness. Moreover, it inhibits the growth of bacteria and fungi, demonstrating efficacy against certain microbes responsible for acne.
